River Jordan sings a pure Southern Gospel Quartet sound, with low Bass, high Tenor and a smooth dynamic harmony.

Cliff Ansley is a South Georgia boy who lived most of is life in Maxville, Florida. Cliff is a true southern gospel singer. He joined the Messenger Quartet of Jacksonville, Florida in l960 where he sang until l973. He is considered by many as one of the finest baritone singers anywhere. He and Ralph Walker formed The Spartans Quartet in Waycross Georgia in l973 where they sang together for several years. His big smile and pleasant manner have already won him over with all of our friends. Cliff will always be the first one to greet you when you see River Jordan.

Recently River Jordan acquired the services of a great new lead singer, Jim Chastain. Jim is considered by many as one of the best lead singers in the State of Florida. He was born in Leesburg and as a teenager discovered southern gospel music. His first quartet experience was with the Kensman of Fort Mill, SC. Once back in Florida, he joined Soul Purpose and then the Anchors Quartet. His love of music are evident in his music and performance. Jim is the son of a minister and has been raised in this atmosphere all his life. River Jordan is thrilled to have his services.

Ralph Dixon, sang for many years with a group from Miami, and possesses one of the finest bass voices you will hear today. He is rapidly becoming a real favorite wherever we sing. His personality on and off stage denotes his Christian faith. Ralph is also the Program Host for River Jordan’s radio program, “River Jordan and Friends” on Daystar Radio, 89.5 on your dial, Ocala, Florida. You can tune in at 10 AM on Saturdays and listen to his booming voice as he brings you the best in gospel music.

Ralph Walker started singing when he was thirteen with his Dad at fifth Sunday singing conventions in Citrus County, Florida. He followed his love of music and sang professionally for many years with several well known groups in North Carolina and Georgia. Ralph sings tenor with River Jordan and does the MC work.
